How to Grow in the UK
- Sowing Time: Sow seeds indoors from March to April, or sow outdoors in May after the last frost.
- Position: Plant in full sun for the best flowering.
- Soil: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter.
- Spacing: Space plants 20–25 cm apart to allow healthy growth and good air circulation.
- Watering: Water regularly, especially during warm, dry weather. Avoid overwatering.
- Feeding: Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during the flowering season.
- Deadheading: Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and a tidy appearance.
- Frost Protection: French marigolds are not frost-hardy. Transplant outdoors only after all danger of frost has passed.
With regular watering and deadheading, French Marigold Bonita Mixed will provide a colourful display of flowers throughout the UK summer and into autumn, making it perfect for gardens, patios, and containers.
