🌼 White Marigold — SETO SAYEPATRI
🇬🇧 English description
White Marigold (Seto Sayepatri) is a beautiful ornamental marigold with rounded, densely packed blooms in creamy white to pale ivory shades. It is an attractive choice for flower beds, borders, pots and containers, and can also be grown as a cut flower. African marigolds (Tagetes erecta) are annuals that prefer full sun and well-drained soil and can flower from summer into autumn.

🇬🇧 How to plant White Marigold in the UK
Because marigolds are half-hardy and frost-sensitive, the easiest UK method is to start them indoors in spring and plant them outside after the risk of frost has passed.
1. Sow indoors — March to April
Use small pots or seed trays with peat-free seed compost.
Sow the seeds shallowly and lightly cover with compost.
Keep them somewhere bright and warm. Around 18°C is suitable for many seeds, unless your packet specifies otherwise.
Keep the compost moist but not waterlogged.
2. Grow the seedlings
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, move them into individual small pots.
Give them plenty of light so they grow strong and compact.
3. Harden off — May
Gradually introduce the plants to outdoor conditions for about 10–14 days.
Bring them in or protect them on cold nights.
4. Plant outside — late May onward
Wait until the danger of frost has passed.
Choose a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil.
Plant at the spacing recommended on your seed packet; larger Tagetes erecta varieties can become quite substantial.
5. Water & care
Water regularly while plants establish, then during prolonged dry periods.
Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continued flowering.
